Plantable will
change your life.
Our mission? To make healthy eating so tasty, easy and effortless that it becomes our way of life. A diet filled with high quality, real ingredients - vegetables, legumes, whole grains, nuts and seeds - is the foundation to human (and planetary) health! Our goal is to make eating in this way easy - either to kickstart a new lifestyle or to provide busy people with the ease of prepared meals, made from scratch, with real, clean ingredients.

We believe a plant-powered diet can power your life, keep you full and taste great, too. Our meals are developed by chefs and designed to fuel active lifestyles. Plantable is 100% nutritious, 100% from plants.

Our programs make it easy to take charge of your health. You’ll get boxes packed with ready-to-eat meals, one-on-one coaching and education, plus the kick-ass feeling that you’re creating lasting, healthy habits.
Our Food Principles
Careful thought is given to each Plantable meal to ensure it is balanced across the macro-nutrients. Our meals are made from complex carbohydrates for slow-releasing energy without the blood sugar spike, plant-based protein for satiety, and good-for-you non-inflammatory fat for brain and cell health. Eating in the Plantable way brings natural satiety and fills us with energy so we can say goodbye to the afternoon slump, and look and feel really good just by eating!

The world is in need of a health revolution—and it begins with the way we think about food.
Food controls us. But it doesn’t have to. Plantable was started to give you power over what you eat, and reframe how you think about food. The result is better health. Better overall well-being. And a sense that you’re in the driver’s seat when it comes to what you eat.

Founder
Dr. Nadja Pinnavaia started Plantable to give people control over their well-being. It all starts with how we eat.
From an early age, Nadja learned how precious life is. Her father died suddenly at a very young age, and her mother passed away from breast cancer. Another bout of cancer in the family prompted Nadja to start researching food and nutrition in search of solutions beyond the pending chemotherapy. She learned just how much lifestyle factors, especially our diet, impact our health and well-being. Applying her chemistry background to understand the biochemistry of the brain and body, Nadja learned that changing behavior is hard if food is controlling us. Plantable was born out of a scientific approach to making a healthy, plant-based lifestyle easy, enjoyable and delicious.
Nadja has an undergraduate degree in chemistry from King’s College, London, and a Ph.D. in quantum chemistry from St. Catharine’s College, Cambridge. Prior to founding Plantable, Nadja was a managing director at Goldman Sachs in London. She holds the Certificate in Culinary Nutrition from the Natural Gourmet Institute. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and two children.

Nikki heads up the Plantable culinary team, with a focus on continually evolving the menu offerings. Nikki is a graduate of the Natural Gourmet Institute and is an expert in health supportive, plant-based cuisine. Prior to joining Plantable, Nikki was the Executive Chef at Pure Food & Wine, an award-winning restaurant based in NYC. In 2013 she was ranked amongst the Top 100 Best Chefs in America.

Rachel’s passion for good food evolved from an early age, as her grandparents were farmers and her mother kept a huge garden. After moving to NYC, Rachel graduated as a professional chef from the Natural Gourmet Institute. Rachel has worked as the Executive Vegan Chef for Munchery, as well as the Chef de Cuisine at Pure Food and Wine.

Christen has always had a passion for the relationship between food and health, and the connection between physical and mental wellbeing.
